The administrator said, "As you can see, the 2 of the elevator shaft is, I think, by my interpretation, about to Level 3. So you have the Basement 12, and I think they're forming up 3 as we speak." He told the board that masonry crews will migrate toward the juvenile court and that crews are redoing the juvenile court parking lot so Judge Veil Leon, court employees and visitors will have secure parking connected to the sheriff's office.
The administrator explained that the project hit a natural-gas well on May 1 that "slow[ed] things down a bit. That was about a 19 day delay, but just through logistics and planning, I'll give Gilbane and and all the vendors a heck of a lot of credit thus far. They've got that down to 10 just through mobilization and sequencing, etcetera." No vote or decision was recorded; the report was informational.
The administrator said the parking work has "about a 3 to 4 week timeline left" and thanked court employees for using alternate parking arrangements while work continues.
