The Lake County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously during its regular meeting to approve a package of resolutions and contracts affecting utilities projects, transportation services, fleet maintenance and county payments.
Key actions approved by the commissioners included: an increase in appropriations and cash transfers within the Department of Utilities for 2025 debt payments and for specific projects; appropriation transfers for a Mentor wastewater treatment plant maintenance and storage buildings roof replacement (project 494S2025); budget transfers for solid waste facility projects including a wheel wash system (project 481L2024) and a landfill gas system expansion (project 498L2025); and approval of a service agreement with Lake Tran to provide non-emergency medical transportation to eligible Medicaid clients in an amount not to exceed $638,750 effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
The board also approved payment of Job and Family Services vouchers dated June 6, 2025, in the amount of $141,742.84; authorized payment of bills on the commissioner’s approval journal totaling $3,506,696.57; and approved purchase orders listed on the purchase order approval journal totaling $1,917,324.69. The commission awarded bids to Classic Auto Group of Mentor for general fleet vehicle repairs and for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office fleet repairs. The board accepted a recommendation from the Lake Development Authority and approved a contract for a lakeshore improvement project in the city of Mentor.
All recorded votes on the listed items were unanimous with three commissioners voting in favor (3-0). Several of the votes were taken with no extended discussion on the record.
