Lake County commissioners approve series of routine resolutions, set bids for resurfacing and waterline work

The Lake County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 20 approved a package of routine resolutions and administrative items, including authorization to advertise bids for a county resurfacing project and for a Union Street waterline replacement, transfers and appropriation changes in county utility funds, appointments to the Lake County Visitors Bureau Board of Trustees and acceptance of grants through the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC).

The actions, taken during the board’s regular meeting, were introduced by the clerk and approved on voice/roll call votes. Commissioners Plecnik, Beveridge and Rekovich voted in the affirmative on the items recorded in the meeting minutes.

Among the items approved were: advertising for bids on the Lake County resurfacing project 02/2025 (LCE project no. 2024-009) with a bid opening scheduled for March 19, 2025; approving plans, specifications and an estimated cost of $411,750 for the Union Street waterline replacement (project no. 479W2024) and authorizing advertising for bids to open in March 2025; and multiple intra-fund transfers and appropriation increases within the Lake County Department of Utilities water and sewer funds, including activity tied to projects referenced as 475W2023 and CMON project 1…
