The Kane County Human Services Committee unanimously approved a resolution Oct. 15 authorizing Eye Medical Vision Care as the county's vision insurance provider for 2026, with a slight monthly premium increase.
Jamie, speaking for county HR, said the resolution continues the county's existing vision provider and described the premium changes: an increase of $0.34 per month for single coverage and $0.93 per month for family coverage. "This is just continuing our existing provider for vision coverage in the next year," Jamie said.
A motion to accept the resolution was moved (mover not specified in the record) and seconded by Sonia. The committee then voted affirmatively; recorded yea responses in the transcript included Garcia, Greipe, Lewis, Tarver, Linder and Serges. The chair called the motion approved.
The resolution makes no changes to plan design; it continues the county's existing vision benefits under the identified provider.
