The Municipal Services Committee on Oct. 20 approved four action items by 5-0 votes: a third revision to the State Municipal Agreement (SMA) for Law Street design and construction; a long-term temporary occupancy permit for 318 West College Avenue; a contract amendment for Thrivent complete-streets plan review and design support with Alta Planning + Design; and a relocation order to acquire right-of-way at the southeast corner of Richmond Street and Ridgeview Lane to install traffic signals.
Deputy Director Neuberger reviewed the SMA revision for Law Street (College Avenue to Wisconsin Avenue), walking the committee through changes since the original agreement. She said, “The original SMA total project cost was identified as $4,270,000 with 2,800,000.0 from the state and 1,480,000.00 from the city.” She described two intervening revisions that reduced the city share: an $85,000 reduction in the first revision and a later change that lowered the city share to $858,164, a net drop of $531,555.
