LaSalle County board votes to enter executive session on litigation and claims

As open session concluded, a member moved to convene an executive session to discuss pending or probable litigation and settlement of claims. The motion was made by Savage and seconded by Craig; the board took a roll-call vote that carried with five ayes.

During the roll call the following members voted "Aye": Joe; Sandy; Doug; Craig; and Brenda. The chair announced the motion was made "pursuant to both session rules in the state of Illinois" and cited the Illinois Open Meetings Act provision for closed meetings, recorded in the meeting as "5 ILC s 1 20 slash 2 c" (commonly cited as 5 ILCS 120/2(c)), noting the sections addressing pending or probable litigation and settlement of claims.
