North Scott High students announce fall play dates, inaugural swim team and choir trip to Milwaukee

Students at North Scott High School announced three school activities during a recent presentation: the fall play is scheduled for Oct. 30, Nov. 1 and Nov. 2; the high school will field its first swim team this season; and the choir has been accepted to perform in Milwaukee in February.

Charlie Connor, a junior at North Scott High School, told listeners that the school’s fall show will be staged “Oct. 30, November 1, and November 2,” and provided the school theater website, nshslp.com, for more information. “If you want to come to North Scott High School, you can come see our show in later October,” Connor said.

The announcements also included athletics news. Colton Gens, a sophomore at North Scott High School, said this will be “the first year that the high school has a [swim] team.” Gens added that he will serve as captain, noting he is “the only upper class or, like, sophomore on the team.”

Connor described the choir’s recent acceptance to perform in Milwaukee as “a big honor for us,” and explained the group’s selection followed “about [a] 3 year long process where you have to submit in recordings every year to make sure we are good consistently.” He said this is the first time the high school has been accepted into that program and that the choir will perform in Milwaukee in February.
