The Troy Finance Committee recommended City Council declare nine vehicles and one piece of equipment no longer needed by the city and approve their sale on GovDeals, staff told the committee.
"As you can see from the memo, we have 10 We have 9 vehicles and a piece of, equipment, that we are recommending be declared surplus so that we can get it on, online," Basil, a staff member, said. He said the sale is being handled under the ORC, which requires items believed to have value over $1,000 to be brought to council for surplus declaration prior to public sale.
Committee Chair Jeff Schilling indicated the committee would move forward with the recommendation. "I think we would we'd probably move forward with this with, as recommended," he said. The committee did not request emergency legislation for the surplus sales.
The items will be listed on GovDeals, the online bidding site identified in staff materials. No vote was recorded at the committee meeting; the recommendation will be forwarded to City Council for formal surplus declaration and sale authorization.
