The Owatonna School Board on Sept. 22 approved a resolution to accept a list of community gifts to the district, including contributions connected to homecoming activities.

Dr. Champa noted the community's generosity and mentioned several homecoming-related donations. Earlier in the meeting, the superintendent and a student speaker noted that the Owatonna High School girls soccer team collected more than 500 items for the Huskies Pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church during a youth and donation day.

A motion to accept the gifts was moved, seconded and approved by roll-call vote recorded as seven in favor, zero opposed.

Board members thanked community partners and volunteers for their support.
