La Verne Beer Board elects Jennifer Maxey chair, Kevin Oliver vice chair and approves July minutes

The La Verne Beer Board approved the minutes of its July 17, 2025, meeting and elected Jennifer Maxey chair and Kevin Oliver vice chair at a meeting on Sept. 18, 2025.

The board opened the meeting at 6 p.m. and by voice vote approved the July 17 meeting minutes after a motion, moved and seconded by board members. The board then opened nominations for leadership. A board member nominated Jennifer Maxey for chair; the nomination was seconded. Maxey accepted the nomination and was elected by voice vote for a one-year term. Later the board opened nominations for vice chair; a board member nominated Kevin Oliver, the nomination was seconded, and the board elected Oliver by voice vote.

There was no substantive debate recorded on either the minutes approval or the leadership elections. All actions were completed by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript. Following the elections, the presiding officer turned the meeting over to the newly elected chair.

The board took no additional organizational actions at the meeting.
