Green Bay — The Green Bay Public Arts Commission elected Commissioner Michelle Winter as its chair and named Melanie Bradshaw Motif vice chair during its Sept. 24, 2025, meeting, members said.
Commissioners moved quickly through nominations after staff noted the public arts coordinator was absent. Melissa Robert moved to nominate Michelle Winter for chair; the commission called three times for additional nominations and then approved Winter by unanimous voice vote. Later, Melanie Bradshaw Motif was nominated and approved as vice chair by voice vote.
The leadership changes followed routine roll call and agenda approval. Commissioners said the vice chair role is primarily to attend and support meetings in the chair’s absence and to help with facilitation when needed. No additional duties, changes to bylaws, or budget adjustments were proposed at the meeting.
The commission did not record a roll-call vote tally in the minutes; members indicated unanimous approval for the chair nomination and stated the vice chair motion “passed.” No abstentions or dissents were recorded on the audio transcript.
The new chair took over facilitation immediately and presided over the remainder of the agenda, including a vote to approve a request-for-qualifications process for a poet laureate program.
