On Crescent City’s new elementary school, several trustees and community members urged keeping the established local name. After discussion the board moved that the district adopt Middleton Boerne Elementary as the preferred name for the Crescent City site and directed the design advisory committee to assign names for interior spaces and other campus features.
Action: The board passed motions to refer naming decisions to the design advisory committee with direction to return recommendations that retain local historic names in visible campus roles. The motions passed unanimously.
