The Bassett Unified School District Board of Education approved four resolutions and adopted updated governance protocols during the Sept. 23 regular meeting.
Board President Cimentel called for consideration of four resolutions together: Resolution 007‑26 recognizing Filipino American History Month; Resolution 011‑26 recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Resolution 013‑26 on compensation for missed meetings; and Resolution 014‑26 designating September 2025 as National Suicide Prevention Month. A motion to approve all four resolutions was made by Ms. Gonzalez and seconded by Ms. Flores; the board conducted a roll‑call and the motion carried with members voting aye.
The board then considered updated governance protocols. A motion by Ms. Flores, seconded by Ms. Stanzione, passed on a roll‑call vote, approving the recommended changes to the board protocols originally created in 2015. The agenda also included the consent calendar, which the board approved by motion; no items were removed for separate discussion.
All items described were approved by the board at the Sept. 23 meeting. The board set its next regular meeting for Oct. 28, 2025.
