Commissioner asks staff for AMI metering implementation schedule ahead of next work session

At the Sept. 23 meeting, Commissioner Hart requested that management prepare a schedule and implementation plan for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and bring it to the next work session for review.
"It's regarding AMI metering. And I think we've not come up with a good plan for implementing it or schedule or even talk of commission yet. So, I was hoping that the next work session, we could have a schedule, a plan, and, some dates with that. Otherwise, I I just think it'll never get done," Hart said. Management responded that internal conversations had occurred but not yet to a level staff felt ready to publicly share and that they would prepare the requested materials for the next work session.
No formal motion was made; the request was recorded as direction to staff. Commissioners did not set specific deadlines beyond asking that the item be placed on the next work-session agenda.
