County authorizes RFP work for recreation-field lighting while pole warranties are verified

Stress Screen (transcript variant: "stretch 3") is compiling data to identify which poles have warranty coverage and which do not.
Ferguson recommended allowing Southern A and E to begin preparing the RFP while the pole inventory and warranty information is finalized; he said the consultant likely needs about six to eight weeks to complete the RFP scope. A commissioner emphasized that the county does not want duplicate billing if Southern A and E must rework portions of the RFP after the pole-warranty assessment is completed.
The board approved the recommendation by voice vote (motion, second; tally not specified). County staff will incorporate the pole-warranty findings into the final RFP scope when the information arrives and expects Southern A and E to integrate that data into their scope of work rather than duplicate tasks.
