At the start of its Aug. 8 meeting, Bradenton City Council paused for a brief introduction from the Bradenton City Housing Authority: vice chair Kurt Landefeld introduced Dominique Dunn as the Authority’s new executive director.
Landefeld said the search produced 30–35 applicants and that Dunn ranked first among finalists after interviews. Dunn told the council she comes to Bradenton from the Washington, D.C., Housing Authority and previously worked with housing authorities in North Carolina; she also noted family ties to Florida.
Council members welcomed Dunn and expressed expectations that the housing authority will continue modernization of older public housing stock.
Ending: The introduction was ceremonial. Dunn said she looks forward to working with the authority and the council.
