Nicholas Halodakis, director of communications for Waukegan Public Schools, said the district is teaming with the Waukegan Fire Department in October for fire-safety month and that the family community engagement department will host two in-person fire-safety "parent university" sessions led by Fire Marshal Ward on Oct. 2 and Oct. 16.
