Berkeley County approves consent agenda with multiple personnel status changes

Berkeley County commissioners approved a consent agenda that included several personnel actions: hiring recommendations, step increases and a resignation.

The commission recorded hiring and status items submitted by department heads: the county clerk recommended hiring Lacey Durer as a deputy clerk at an annual salary of $40,000 effective Oct. 1, 2025; the director of emergency communications reported a grade and salary increase for Samantha Noll from Telecommunicator I ($52,858) to Telecommunicator II ($55,501) effective Oct. 1, 2025; Sheriff Rob Blair submitted step increases for Sean Robinson (Deputy 3) from $67,688 to $70,801, Benjamin Ezell (Deputy 3) from $67,668 to $70,801, Lawrence Meeks (Corporal) from $70,756 to $74,043, and Bryce Reinhardt (Deputy 2) from $61,615 to $64,446, all effective Oct. 1, 2025.

The commission also accepted a letter of resignation from Jessica Lundblad, peer recovery coach coordinator in community corrections, effective Sept. 23, 2025. County staff noted that all commissioners had been present for the Sept. 18 meeting referenced in the consent items.

The consent agenda additionally included administrative items such as bond reductions and a canceled check presented by the county clerk's finance office; these were approved as part of the broader consent motion by voice vote. No discussion about individual personnel actions was recorded on the public transcript.
