The Lapeer County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt a new county social media policy and to approve revised financial goals, policy and practices after receiving recommendations from the policy and procedures committee. Commissioner Wise moved to adopt the new social media policy as attached; the board approved the motion. The board then approved the revised financial goals and policy, which were presented to the board by the policy and procedures committee during its September meeting. County leaders said the changes are based on committee recommendations and will be incorporated into county policy manuals; no additional budget impact was reported at the meeting.
