The commission also confirmed the property is not within the city’s gateway overlay district, and staff said the elevations meet code and will be brought forward to both the commission and City Council for final review.
Commissioner Jack Mangum moved the recommendation of approval, and the motion passed with all members present voting in favor.
Why it matters: approving the site-plan amendment clears the way for the restaurant to move forward with construction steps, but the separate sign permit and the upcoming elevation reviews mean some design details will be decided later.
