Applicants Ryan Meyer and Najla Bell-Meyer asked the Board of County Commissioners on April 15 to withdraw PUD 2024-06 (Dog and Bog), a request to rezone about 5.56 acres from Workforce Housing to Planned Unit Development to allow up to 12 residences and 5,000 square feet of commercial use including a proposed restaurant/office and dog park.
The applicants told the board the commercial revenue model had become financially unfeasible because of development costs and timelines; they said they had found an investor and partner to purchase the parcel instead. Planning staff noted the Planning and Zoning Agency had earlier recommended approval with conditions, including extending affordability periods for workforce units and limiting certain commercial uses.
The board accepted the withdrawal by unanimous vote (5-0). No conditions, compensatory measures, or further county action were recorded; public comments included support for the withdrawal and a suggestion that the parcel could be considered for other community projects.
Because the applicants withdrew before any zoning action, no ordinance or rezoning was enacted and the land remains under its existing Workforce Housing (WH) designation.
