School Committee approves disposal of broken science and technology equipment

District staff told the committee that most items were beyond repair and that some technology devices no longer receive security updates and therefore present a network risk. Staff said replacements were already in classrooms (for example, modern science kits) and that clearing the items would free storage and classroom space.
This was a formal action; the committee approved the disposal as presented and no amendments were made.
