Kootenai County commissioners approved two ordinance amendments on Sept. 25 that staff characterized as housekeeping measures: ORA 25-0005, governing family and utility division of lands, and ORA 25-0006, updating road standards. Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval for both items on Sept. 11, and no public testimony for or against either ordinance was received at the county hearing.
Director David Callahan told the commissioners these provisions have been in the county code for a year and ‘‘have worked well,’’ and that staff believes both ordinances meet the county code and comprehensive-plan criteria. Commissioners voted 3–0 to adopt both ordinances.
Ending: Both ordinances carried and the meeting moved on to the data-center hearing.
