The Manchester Heritage Commission approved a sign permit for Motion Clinic at 155 Dallas Street (Tax Map 276, Lot 6B), allowing the refacing of an existing projecting sign for a new tenant while leaving the mounting and structural supports in place.
Applicant Jason Gagel of 2 Sons presented the proposal on behalf of the property owner and said the project will reface a 4-foot projecting sign and retain the existing structural mounting. He said the background color will remain beige and the dimensional letters will be changed to match Motion Clinic’s corporate branding; the applicant indicated an “atmospheric green” as the intended color.
Gagel described the work as a reface and not a structural change: "we're just looking to reface what is currently there, keeping everything within the same style, then the same size," he told the commission. He said the mounting and anchorage into the building will not be altered.
The commission opened the item to public comment; no public speakers asked questions. A motion to approve the sign permit was called, seconded by Lauren, and approved by voice vote.
The applicant and commissioners noted that if future tenants or owners propose different signage types or sizes, those proposals would be subject to return review by the commission.
