Board approves release of CDBG lien, pumpkin-patch event and transportation contract

Darlene Dixon, a volunteer/organizer and the line secretary for the event, told the board the Lions Club expects about 550 students from Templeton Center Elementary to walk to the common between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 7; the board approved the event with a rain date of Oct. 9. One board member abstained from the pumpkin-patch vote.
The board also approved the Mott Transportation contract to provide rides for seniors, medical appointments and other trips. The board approved the contract and authorized the town clerk to sign.
