MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) board unanimously approved a fiscal year 2026 budget of $13,491,027 at its Sept. 24 meeting.
Fredita Nelson, assistant city manager, presented the budget to the board and described it as balanced; she said the CRA budget is composed of four revenue sources and three expenditure line items and sought the board's approval. Board members asked whether CRA funds would assist construction of the city's Performance Arts Theater; Nelson confirmed they would.
The board voted 7-0 to adopt the CRA budget. The recorded "yes" votes matched the council membership: Board member Baskin, Board member Leon, Board member Powell, Board member Wilson, Board member Julian, Vice Chair Stevens and Chair Harris.
The resolution was presented as part of the CRA's regular fiscal adoption process; no written public comments were submitted at the hearing. The board moved to adjourn after approving the budget.
