Capitol Park neighbors say city, grants restored historic brick sidewalks with wider, reinforced design

Residents of the Capitol Park neighborhood described a completed effort to restore the area's original brick sidewalks, saying the work addressed safety problems reported in 2023 and increased the sidewalks' durability and width. "Back in 2023, what happened was, the sidewalks had a few compliance issues. I think there was some heaving and maybe some breaking and different things that made them unsafe for walking," Resident 1 said.
