Weld County commissioners on Sept. 24 approved a $94,010.48 contract to Tarkett USA for carpet replacement in the Weld County Jail lobby security station pods A, B and C and authorized the chair to sign contract ID 9936. Facilities staff said the procurement used the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract (contract no. 61323TFU), which Weld County code permits under Section 5,480 exemptions for purchases from state or cooperative contracts. "Therefore, the Facilities Department is recommending awarding this contract to Tarkett USA in the amount of $94,010.48," a county representative said. Commissioner Jason Maxey moved to approve the contract; Commissioner Kevin Ross seconded the motion and the board approved the award by voice vote.
