Weld County commissioners on Sept. 24 approved an intergovernmental agreement that will allow staff from the county Oil and Gas Energy Department to assist the Town of Eaton with 1041 oil-and-gas location assessment enforcement and authorized the chair to sign the agreement. A county representative who has met with several municipalities described the Eaton board's decision to sign the intergovernmental agreement and said the county was "privileged and honored" to work with Eaton. Commissioner Kevin Ross moved to approve the IGA; Commissioner Annette Peppler seconded the motion. The board approved the agreement by voice vote.
