County extends and increases funding for Promoting Safe and Stable Families program

Weld County commissioners on Sept. 24 approved amendment no. 5 to the intergovernmental grant agreement for the Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program and authorized the chair to sign contract ID 9923. County staff said the amendment provides additional funding and extends the contract term to Sept. 30, 2026 to continue support for the county prevention team. "This amendment provides additional funding, and then it extends the term to 09/30/2026 for our PSSF program, which we utilize for our prevention team," a Department of Human Services representative said. Commissioner Annette Peppler moved to approve the amendment; Commissioner Scott James seconded the motion. The board approved the amendment by voice vote.
