A Small Business Administration representative told the council on Sept. 24 that the SBA is providing disaster recovery assistance in Fond du Lac after storms in August 2025. Tatori Marion, public affairs specialist with the SBA, said the agency is "in the area" to offer low-interest loans to affected households and businesses.
Marion described the loan types available: business physical disaster loans, home disaster loans and economic injury disaster loans. She said loan interest rates can be "as low as 3 percent," and that the program offers a 12-month interest-free payment period and fixed terms up to 30 years. Marion urged residents to spread the word and visit a local disaster loan recovery center to apply.
No council action was requested; Marion invited questions and encouraged city and county outreach to inform affected residents.
