BOSTON — Representative Michelle L. Badger filed a bill Sept. 10 that would create a sick-leave bank exclusively for Marie Letendre, an employee of the Department of Transitional Assistance.
The measure, filed in the House as House No. 4565 (Docket No. 5128), would require the Department of Transitional Assistance to establish a sick-leave bank to which any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute one or more sick, personal or vacation days for use by Marie Letendre.
The bill says remaining time in the sick-leave bank would be transferred to the department's extended illness leave bank if Letendre leaves employment or requests dissolution of the sick-leave bank. It also states that days in the bank may be used only for absences related to the illness or disability that prompted creation of the bank, as determined by the department.
