Springdale — The Springdale City Council on Sept. 23 approved a conditional use for Casa de la Tributo del Leon de Judah to operate at a property south of 2019 West Huntsville Avenue; the vote was 8-0.
Planning director Sharon Traumberg told council the property historically had been used as a church and that the current applicants have an existing shared parking agreement with a commercial business to the north. Traumberg said the ordinance allows up to 50% of a church’s parking to be shared and that the signed parking agreement had been provided. The item remained subject to one outstanding requirement: an access easement through the adjacent commercial parking to ensure adequate access to the site.
What the council did: Council moved and seconded the resolution to approve the conditional use; the motion carried 8-0. Planning staff said the signed shared‑parking agreement had been received and the council was awaiting the access‑easement document.
Next steps: Applicant must provide the access easement instrument for staff review and recording; staff will confirm compliance with the conditional‑use conditions before full occupancy under the new permit.
