Fall Fest, concerts and workshops set for October–November in Flower Mound

Parks and Recreation staff outlined multiple community events coming this fall, highlighted by the town's first Fall Fest at Riverwalk and several local concerts.

Travis said the Fall Fest will run Oct. 10 (5–10 p.m.) and Oct. 11 (noon–10 p.m.) at the Riverwalk and will include performances by local music, theater and dance groups, more than 90 vendors (food, arts and crafts, farmers market), a veterans village with veteran-focused nonprofits, a hay maze, photo areas with pumpkins and family activities. He described both come-and-go and longer-stay opportunities and encouraged commissioners and residents to attend.

Event-oriented programming at other venues was also announced: Voices of Flower Mound concerts on Oct. 4 and 5 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church (theme "America's Folk Legacy"), a Flower Mound Symphony concert Oct. 11 at Treatch Memorial (program "Elegy and Exaltation") and Louisville Lake Symphony concerts in October and November at Trinity Presbyterian and a larger symphony program including Copland's "A Lincoln Portrait" in November. Library and arts staff also noted artist workshops (one with 24 registered) and a "Do Your Part, Make Some Art" program on ancient Egypt with more than 30 registrants.
