Park staff and volunteers emphasized that aeration is intended to improve water quality in the park’s lakes and also noted an ancillary benefit: native shoreline plantings discourage Canada geese. The board discussed coordination with the grounds crew for site preparation and future maintenance once the compressors are installed.
