After returning from an executive session invoked under Texas Gov. Code Section 551.074 (personnel matters), trustees announced hiring actions and approvals. Doctor Mario Salinas announced the administration’s recommendation to employ Carolina Ramirez as the librarian for Memorial Middle School and the board approved the recommendation by voice/hand vote. The board also approved employment of the set of professional applicants discussed in closed session; the board chair stated the approvals were subject to the conditions discussed in the executive session and did not provide additional details publicly. For a separate vacancy at Truman Elementary, administration reported that there was no recommendation at this time. The board recorded for the public record that no action was taken during executive session itself, and then voted on the public personnel motions in open session.
