Commission ratifies sheriff’s auction contract and approves vehicle list

County commissioners ratified a contract with Medsger Auction and approved a list of 10 surplus sheriff’s office vehicles for online sale.

The sheriff asked the board to ratify an auction agreement the county attorney had already approved; the commission recorded a motion and verbal unanimous approval. Lieutenant Mulligan provided an updated list of 10 vehicles, including year, make and VIN information, and asked the board to approve the entire list at once.

The auction is scheduled to run online Oct. 1 through Oct. 13, the sheriff’s office said. Commissioners were told most vehicles were older and the sheriff’s office would provide the detailed vehicle list to county staff.

No public objections were recorded during the agenda item. Commissioners voted to ratify the auction contract and to approve the vehicle list; both motions passed by voice vote.
