Construction representatives updated the Page County Board of Supervisors on progress and near-term work at the county’s dispatch facility, reporting the first slab pour in the dispatch and mechanical areas and ongoing exterior roofing and site deliveries. The representative said crews increased electrical crew size to complete underground conduit runs, poured a slab on the east side that includes dispatch and back-room areas, and planned another pour the following morning at 8 a.m. after rain delayed work.
The contractor said a concrete pump truck was being used to place concrete through skylights, that grease-interceptor installation was underway on the building's north side, and that the roofing contractor expected seven to eight semi loads of insulation and membrane materials. He said crews were installing rough carpentry so the membrane can be rolled up and over the roof to make the building watertight.
Project staff told supervisors they are preparing for interior work once the membrane is on the roof: drain tile installation, dehumidification for drying, and temporary heat for winter months. They said units can run on LP or natural gas with an orifice change if the permanent natural-gas supply is not available before winter. The update also covered site access and the possibility of a temporary ramp and boot-cleaning stations if wet weather requires them.
Supervisors were invited to schedule site visits through the job trailer. No vote or formal contract changes were taken during the update; the report was informational and focused on sequencing work, weather impacts and temporary systems required to maintain schedule.
