Frank Pulley, representing the Palmyra Lions Club, told council the organization plans a series of seasonal events at the Square and requested logistical support for safety and traffic control. Pulley described plans to expand the Square’s trick‑or‑treat and to host games and a Santa house (Santa’s house has been loaned for the event in past years). He said the group is coordinating with local organizations — including the garden club, Rotary and Key Club students — for volunteers, and that the Lions booked a choral group and arranged the tree lighting for Dec. 7. Pulley also said the club expects about 800 attendees at the Square for large events and urged the borough to provide barricades, safety signs and fire police where needed. He said the club has already begun working with the borough chief and will meet with borough staff to finalize logistics. Councilors signaled support for the Lions’ plans and advised Pulley to coordinate with Roger and the police chief; a councilor said, “Go for it,” and staff indicated they would work with the organizer on barricades, fire police and other safety measures.
