Rebecca, the borough manager, told council the borough has generally been satisfied with the vendor’s responsiveness and technical support. Staff recommended upgrading from the silver plan to the gold package to include additional cybersecurity monitoring and training and to gain a larger discount on hourly labor rates.
Under the recommendation, the borough’s administrative departments — including streets and sewer — are projected to spend about $18,000 annually on IT support after the change, up from roughly $14,000 in the last 12 months; the police department’s IT spending is projected to rise to about $28,000 from about $25,000. Rebecca said those figures were included in proposed budget projections.
Council approved executing the three‑year agreement; staff said the agreement begins in October and runs through 2028 under the borough’s October‑to‑October contract cycle. Council discussed a sliding payment option offered by the vendor but did not take separate action on that option at the meeting.
