The board also recognized Scott Kentfield, a Road and Bridge foreman, for 19 years of service; staff said Kentfield played significant roles in wildfire evacuations, mag-chloride operations and snow removal, and that he is set to retire Oct. 2. Commissioners and staff exchanged brief remarks and presented appreciation for his service.
