The solicitation covers application implementation and administration for awarded recovery funds tied to the county’s 2024 disaster allocations. The purchasing agent requested permission to solicit proposals; the court approved the request and appointed an evaluation committee to review responses.
Commissioner Cook, county staffer Aaron Tepper and Clay Woodward were named to the evaluation committee; the court confirmed those appointments on the record. The court separately approved a similar solicitation to identify an engineer for the same CDBG‑DR work and confirmed the same committee members would serve on that evaluation panel.
Court members noted the county is still awaiting answers from FEMA on a pending change request for another construction project tied to disaster recovery; the solicitation will help the county engage vendors to implement awarded grant activities once federal approvals are in place.
The motion to solicit proposals and appoint the evaluation committee passed unanimously.
