The Stonecrest Urban Redevelopment Agency on Sept. 22 approved the mayor’s appointment of Jasmine Cobble as URA chair and elected Tammy Grimes as vice chair and George Turner as secretary. Each nomination was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Earlier in the meeting the board approved minutes from prior URA meetings (June 5 and Aug. 14) with a specific edit requested: in the June 5 executive-session notes the term “councilwoman” was to be removed and replaced with “member” in the third bullet, and the heading on the Aug. 14 minutes was amended to add Member Alicia Washington’s status. The board recorded unanimous approval for the elections and the corrected minutes. The mayor’s appointment of Cobble was presented to the URA for confirmation; the board voted to confirm the appointment in open session.
