Mayville approves 2026 agreements with Chamber, Main Street and funds Graceland Cemetery request

The City of Mayville approved several 2026 agreements and funding items at the Sept. 22 meetings. Councilors voted to approve city agreements with the Mayville Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Mayville. During the finance discussion staff and council referenced a $10,000 agreement for Main Street and a $5,000 agreement for Main Street in earlier remarks; the motion and subsequent roll call established the agreement amounts discussed during that agenda item as follows: $10,000 to the Mayville Chamber of Commerce and $5,000 to Main Street Mayville. Separately, the council approved a request from Graceland Cemetery for $21,000 for 2026. Staff recounted prior requests and noted the cemetery originally asked for $21,000, then accepted a smaller figure in the prior year; the council approved returning to the cemetery’s originally requested amount for the current year. Each of the agreements and the cemetery payment passed by roll call; councilors directed staff to finalize the written agreements and execute them per the usual process.
