Council approves Park Square sidewalk cafe and adopts five-year community work program update

The City of Roswell Mayor and City Council on Sept. 22 unanimously approved two routine items: a sidewalk café permit for Cafe Le Bon at 4345 Park Square Court and a resolution adopting the city’s five-year community work program and community improvement element covering 2025–2030.
Sidewalk café: Planning and Zoning Director Jeanne Payton and applicant representatives said the sidewalk café would place two tables with seating for four patrons in the right-of-way immediately adjacent to the cafe on the north side of Park Square; the permit requires annual renewal. Applicant representative Chris Nardone said the outdoor seating is intended to add presence to the square. Council Member Sarah Beeson moved approval and Council Member David Johnson seconded; the motion passed 6-0.
Community work program / impact fees: Planning Director Jeanne Payton said the five-year update is the annual report required under the Georgia Development Act for the city’s impact-fee program, a one-time payment for growth-related infrastructure. She said the city submitted the report to the Atlanta Regional Commission; ARC reviewed the submission on July 2025 and approved it with no comments on Aug. 26, 2025. Council Member Alan Sells moved to adopt the update and Mayor Pro Tem Lee Hills seconded; the vote was 6-0.
