Parks department readies Mini Pioneer Days, Pioneer Days and an Oct. 17 grand opening

Staff also said the department will hold a grand‑opening ribbon cutting for a building at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 with light refreshments and an open‑mic night planned.
Staff reported maintenance crews have been preparing the village for both events and that building walkthrough and punch‑list work is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m. Staff invited board members to attend the grand opening and to view the building once floors are dry. No formal board action was taken; these were event announcements and invitations to participate.
