Ouray County announces three finalists for county manager; public meet-and-greet set for Oct. 20

The Ouray County Board of County Commissioners announced three finalists for the county manager position on Sept. 23 and outlined next steps in the recruitment process.

Following closed sessions and recruiter notifications, commissioners directed their executive recruiter to contact candidates and then publicly identified the finalists as Kevin Brown, Antonio Mendez and Patrick Rondinelli. The board said the names were released now to give candidates an opportunity to notify current employers; a press release will follow.

The board directed the recruiter to arrange a public meet-and-greet on Monday, Oct. 20 (time to be finalized; the board indicated a likely 5–7 p.m. window) and scheduled final selection for Oct. 21. The board said it would work with the recruiter on interview logistics, question sets and related procedures in the interim. The county indicated the meet-and-greet location will likely be in the Ridgeway area to accommodate commuting residents.

Ending: A press release will follow to announce community engagement details; the board will meet in early October with the recruiter to finalize interview questions and logistics ahead of the public events and final decision.
