The board introduced Cammie Rosser as the new Board of Commissioners clerk, deputy clerk and clerk for the Board of Equalization. Rosser described her background, including 12 years in the Navy and experience running group homes and working in local government.
"I started out in the military. I did 12 years in the navy," Rosser said, adding that she has worked in social services and municipal government and currently works for Jefferson City Hall. She told members she is serving as the BOE secretary/ clerk.
Members also covered onboarding logistics. The clerk's office asked members to test and begin using their county email accounts; the clerk said she would CC members' personal email addresses for a short transition period while county accounts are set up. The board agreed the clerk's office would assist Tom and others to ensure access to the county email system.
Separately, staff noted the assessor rolls had been certified last week and that assessor staff (Pamela McCarter, Lee Hancock or Laurie) might attend the next meeting to answer questions about certification. The board scheduled to meet the following morning at 9 a.m. to review certified material.
Board members also briefly discussed minor remote-camera and display issues and confirmed next steps for IT support.
