Smyrna Mayor and Council on Sept. 26 voted unanimously to approve a privileged liquor license for iCaramba Inc., a new Mexican restaurant, and to authorize a temporary sales certificate for a seasonal pumpkin and fall produce stand operated by Jane Bledsoe.
The liquor license application (LIC 2025-33) for iCaramba Inc. covers sale of liquor, beer, wine, Sunday sales and special hours at 1080 Windy Hill Road SE, Suite 100. City staff indicated the applicant submitted required paperwork, completed required training and passed background checks. Rusty Martin, a city development official, noted the applicant will be the registered agent responsible for alcohol sales. The applicant told council the family plans to renovate the space and open a Mexican restaurant in about four weeks.
Council voted to approve the license by unanimous voice vote.
Separately, the council approved a temporary sales certificate for pumpkin and fall produce for MBH Poverbrook LLC doing business as October Optics, at 810 Poverbrook Road. Applicant Jane Bledsoe described a small-scale pumpkin patch and fall seasonal produce stand to operate through the end of the year; council approved the temporary tent-based operation by unanimous vote.
Both votes were approved without recorded opposition and were presented as routine licensing items.
Next steps: Licensees will complete any remaining administrative steps with city licensing staff before operations begin.
