The Warwick County School Corporation board accepted several donations to district schools and programs. Donations included $600 to Elberfield Elementary for safety-patrol items and student needs (anonymous); $1,580 from Newberg High School alumni for Newberg Elementary resources; $500 from the Booneville Firefighters Local 4850 for student needs at the Work Education Center; and $800 from the National FFA Foundation for Tecumseh High School FFA travel expenses.
The board also accepted $2,000 from the Castle Cheer Parent Booster Club to help pay past-due lunch balances at Castle High School; a $2,500 gift to Warwick Pathways and Career Center from the Michael Lackey Skilled Labor Education Endowment for electrical certification fees, toolkits and scholarships; and an in-kind donation from Lincoln Industries of a 60-ton Cincinnati Milacron injection-molding machine valued at $2,000 for industrial maintenance and precision machining training.
The board approved the acceptance of all listed donations by voice vote.
